If you want to lose some extra pounds, be healthy or get muscular, hiring a personal trainer can be a step in the right direction. A good trainer can help you set up a program that meets your goals and teach you the best way to exercise saving you a lot of time in the beginning. Here's what you should know before you hire a fort lauderdale personal trainer.
What is a Personal Trainer?
A personal trainer should be, at the least, educated and certified through a reputable fitness organization. This person's job is to assess your fitness level, set up a program for you and keep you motivated. He or she will push you past your comfort level--something difficult to do on your own. A trainer also provides:
- guidance on reaching your goals
- education about strength training, cardio and basic nutrition
- a reason to show up at the gym each week
- accountability
- ways to help track your progress
There are about a million reasons to get a personal trainer. I live in Fort Lauderdale, FL and I have worked out with many of the personal trainers there. They range from self-absorbed to fantastic! The ones up in Wilton Manners are not as focused as the ones in the downtown gyms. If you're serious about training, drive downtown where there is plenty of parking and get a trainer that will help you achieve your goals, with weight training, fitness classes, bootcamp circuit training and diet.
ReplyDeleteI met my goal of gaining lean muscle mass in just 8 weeks. I went from 180 pounds of fat to 210 pounds of lean muscle. But i could not have done it without the help of my personal trainer John Padgett at Club Sweat in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
For me, the price of a personal trainer is worth it. I am lucky that I can afford to use a personal trainer pretty regularly, but even if you can't do that, save your money so you can do an 8-session package twice a year. It will change your life, I guarantee it.
